A relaxed, informal outdoor Wedding at Dawros Bay House.
This was my second time shooing down at Dowros Bay House. Or better known to the locals as Joe’s. I love it here. The views over the coastline are beautiful and the venue itself is as good as being in someones warm country home.
The first time I shot here I didn’t even get to go outside. The weather was heavy rain and thunder. All the guests, myself included, gathered in a big room with an open fire to stay warm and dry. This time around though, we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Ashley and Emmets vision of a chilled, informal, outdoor wedding was everything they imagined. They stood in front of their guests as they gathered beneath a sunny blue sky. Shaded only a little by the tall trees surrounding them. Their best pal and X factor runner up, Andrea Magee, set the mood with some amazing music. People blew bubbles and Emmets Dad played guitar, it was the perfect soundtrack.
For our portrait session we went exploring. Down through a little wooden gate at the bottom of the garden is access to a beautiful beach. We had the whole place to ourselves. Only in Ireland will you stumble across little gems like this. Ashley, the amazing gal that she is, immediately threw off her shoes in favour of feeling the earth beneath her feet. A girl after my own heart.
The night ended after the sunset, in the marquee to live music and lots of dancing. The floor was packed with people letting go. Drinks were spilt, kids were swung by the arms and I think it’s safe to say there were a few heavy heads the morning after. Sure what more do you want!
Thanks for having me guys, it was an incredible day.
